Haworthia ‘Umber Star’ ( Auction 10101309),
One of the best recent results in the ‘Lombard Star’ series. During the past few years the original ‘Lombard Star’ has been crossed with numerous other hybrids as well as selected attractive non-hybrid Haworthias . Seeds produced by the ‘Lombard Star’ are strongly influenced by the parent’s appearance, having a smooth epidermis and dense milky-white flecking in the windows. This mature seedling titled ‘Umber Star’ inherited its dark cocoa brown colouring from crossing ‘Lombard Star’ with a very dark H. splendens type plant similar to the Japanese cultivar ‘Shishinden’.
