Haworthia bruynsii is the only known retuse Haworthia that that does not belongs to the subgenus Haworthia. Based on floral characters and roots the plants appear to belong in the subgenus Hexangulares. It is a slow growing species and rather diffcult to cultivate. For now I include a number of habitat images of Haworthia bruynsii from east of Springbokvlakte. All these were taken by Gerhard Marx with an old Mavica camera. Also included are a few pictures of auction plants. More images to add later.
