Haworthia 'Fugu' is an exceptional cultivar created by Mr. Gerhard Marx. In his own words:

Haworthia ‘Fugu’ is characterised by very short rounded leaves covered with robust spinose tubercles. The entire plant also develops a rounded half-dome shape and reminds of some creature one would expect to see in the ocean. That is also why the name ‘Fugu’ was chosen in association wih the Pufferfish or Fugu, a rare and risky delicacy for the daring, served by only a few sushi restaurants in Japan.

Haworthia ‘Fugu’ is the result of select hybrid parents including Haworthia ‘Hakuteujoh’ and Haworthia ‘Gerry Barad’.
