Distribution: Africa: South Africa: Northern Cape: Western Cape:

Drimia minor has a fairly large distribution in the Western - and Northern Cape. It is a winter growing species and the thin dark green leaves are normally bend down rather close to the ground. The thin flower stalk appears in spring and the beautiful brownish umbel of flowers develops rather slowly at the top. There seems to be notable variation in the flowers from different localities.
