| The term succulents refers to all plants that have fleshy parts, e.g. stems or leaves, that are used for water storage. It is customary to leave cacti out of this definition although strictly these plants also belong here. Caudiciform plants are succulents that have fleshy stems. Geophytes are plants that have fleshy roots and shall also be included here. |
