I shall be lead by Jan and Anne-lise Vlok (Plants of the Klein Karoo) in this case and file this winter flowering Mesemb under Pleiospilos canus. It is also by many regarded as a form of Pleiospilos compactus. The plants are quite easy to cultivate and germinate readily from seed. Photographed in habitat at Leopoort in June 2013 by Mike Jordan.

		At Leopoort the plants are often found growing on bare shale.
