Ornithogalum britteniae is only known from one locality, Table Farm, just west of Grahamstown in the Eastern Cape. This delightful evergreen bulb appears to be quite rare in habitat as well as in cultivation. The plants flower in summer and the small whitish flowers borne on relatively short pedicels are similar to many others in the genus.
