Ledebouria socialis is an easy to cultivate bulb that is endemic to South Africa and distributed in the Eastern Cape. Common names include "Silver Squill" or "Wood Hyacinth" It was first described by John Gilbert Baker as Scilla socialis in 1870. Many variations in leaf colours and patterns exist which have led to taxonomic confusion at times. |
