Hoodia gordonii flowering in the Tanqua Karoo.	The Tanqua Karoo can be exceedingly hot and dry in summer - large barren patches are found with only a few Hoodia here and there.	A plant in cultivation.	A crested specimen.(Abnormal growth.) Many seedpods are visible in the background.
