Distribution: | Africa: South Africa: Eastern Cape: |
Haworthia sordida has a large distribution in the Eastern Cape from about Kleinpoort to Uitenhage. The related plants from Steytlerville I shall file under Haworthia lavranii. In cultivation the plants often loose their 'dirty' look and can become very attractive. Propagation is by seed and the plants grow very slowly. They are rther difficult in cultivation and should be watered with care and given good drainage. All images of plants in habitat supplied by Gerhard Marx. |
