Synonyms: Haworthia truncata var. maughanii. Haworthia truncata 'maughanii'. The plants are only known from the Calitsdorp area in the Little Karoo where their localities overlap with those of Haworthia truncata and the plants sometimes hybridize with Haworthia truncata and/or show some evolutionary connection with the latter. The plants can be propagated from seed, leaf-cuttings or roots. Included here are some random photographs of Haworthia maughanii from previous auctions and also from the collection of Gerhard Marx. Mostly the plants are well marked and more attractive than plants in wild. The seeds from these plants are used to propagate many more of this beautiful species. I hope to be adding some habitat images in the coming months. |
