Albuca glandulosa is a widespread species that is found sporadically from Namaqualand to the Little Karoo.

It is mainly a wintergrowing bulb but can be considered somewhat evergreen especially if kept in a greenhouse.

The flowers appear in spring while some of the plants lose their leaves while others not.
